The Big Green Egg is a unique combination charcoal grill and smoker. It looks just like it sounds- like a big, green egg, like something out of a Dr. Seuss illustration that might be capable of time pork tenderloin grill time space travel. The top half of the Big Green Egg lifts up from a hinge to reveal a round grilling or smoking area.
I ended up making a delish Sangria with 2 bottles of wine I was gifted for Christmas and another I asked my brother to pick up on his way, canned fruits from Aldi's and some seltzer water. I also had water, juice and soda on hand. For food it was all about the pork and the fruits. Fruit salad, green salad and roast roast pork in slow cooker. We had some hawaiin music I picked up at the dollar store playing in the background, and can I just tell you, it was a BLAST! Everyone had a great time, I got complimented on my decorations and the sangria was a big hit.
Purina is a company which sells their pet products in both pet stores and grocery stores. They offer dog and cat food roast pork as well as treats and long lasting chews. While I do not recommend their dog food as I prefer a higher quality brand, their chews are long lasting for an occasional treat for your dog.
Then of course they offer the cozy dog. You can order them one at a time or you can get family packs of 4, 6, or 12 of them. They come with a large portion of French fries. You can also get hamburgers and cheeseburgers in family packs with fries. These packs range from but it is enough to feed the pork fillet whole family.
Your centerpieces can be made with the purchase of dollar block florist foam. Simply wrap the base with some gauze and insert the stems of brightly colored fall leaves.
When the meat is fully cooked, I take it out of the Dutch oven and let it stand for at least 5 minutes. This will help keep the pork's normal moisture in. If they're cut too quickly, the moisture isn't sealed, and the end result is a dry piece of meat. But, you will notice when taking the meat out, voila...gravy is already made!
My only complaint, is waking up one morning, and seeing that my tab was over $150. Apparently, it was a great night for drinking, and my friend was kind enough to be my designated driver. Most weekdays are a lot of fun for the bar scene, and there are a lot of young, beautiful single ladies that seem to congregate here. You can't beat the amusement factor, and the way that the bar area is set up, will allow for "mingling." This restaurant is open from 11 am- 2 am everyday, and stop in for a lunch, or have some liquid refreshment at night. Its located at 9959 Main Street Fairfax, VA 22030, and you can call them at 703-591-7113 for more information.
